The client, Buzzsprout, is a podcast hosting company and desired a bumper that was less than 7 secs, completely custom shot, had a rock style of music, and gave off the excitement and feeling of getting ready to podcast.
During our Discovery Session with them, the client referenced the following clip from the movie Commando, and it became the inspiration piece for the bumper.
Taking the feelings of gearing up for battle with anticipation and intensity, we aimed to match the spirit of Commando and mapped out a strategy.
We custom shot the individual actions that podcasters go through to gear up with a moody and intense energy, and then edited it all together in a fast-paced sequence.
Motion graphics, effects, and music were overlaid to add in energy and branding.
